about us

hi, i'm sam from miss'chief creative

i was born in 1969, a pretty good year to arrive on the planet. i’ve been designing for over 30 years long enough to have seen this industry evolve from drawing boards and paste-up to pixels and AI.

i started the traditional way: studying design at university, then learning the craft hands-on in a printers, where attention to detail wasn’t optional,  it was everything. from there, I built my experience across magazines, design agencies and a wide range of industries, picking up skills the old-fashioned way… by doing the work.

i’d describe myself as an old-school designer with a modern edge. i understand the foundations, typography, layout, branding, photography not just how things look, but why they work and how it feels to the client.

over the years, i’ve worked across:

• branding and identity

• education (including Key Stage materials)

• airlines

• hospitality

• print, digital and everything in between

i’ve spent more than 20 years working across the full adobe suite, alongside a deep knowledge of fonts, image-making and visual storytelling.

put simply, I’ve earned my stripes.

hello, i'm Jules from Red Jasper

i was born in 1973 - which means i grew up in the era of saturday morning cartoons, mix tapes, phones attached to walls and knowing it was home time when the street lights came on. a time when memories were moments.

i have been working in marketing for over 27 years, and i started the way most people in this industry did back then: by being thrown in at the deep end and told to swim. i learned fast, i paid attention, and i am grateful to have spent the majority of my career working on brands that most people would recognise across a room.

Reebok taught me that a brand is a feeling before it is a logo. Coca-Cola taught me that consistency, done well, is the most powerful thing in marketing. Hallmark taught me that emotion is not soft, it is the whole point. and Iceland Foods reminded me that knowing your audience is not a strategy, it is a survival skill.

after more than two decades in marketing, i founded Red Jasper Marketing built on one simple belief: that small and growing businesses deserve the kind of strategic thinking that used to be reserved for the big ones.

i would describe myself as a strategist; providing clear thinking, honest advice and marketing that is built around who you actually are, not who an algorithm thinks you should be.

i have sat at the big table long enough to know what works and why most of what gets called marketing today, does not.
